Wealdstone - Home

The Youth team lost 2-0 to a very hard working & committed Wealdstone team last night.

It was always going to be hard to get back into our stride after such a long period without a game. We can't knock the lad's effort but our basic football & decision making was not there last night.

Wealdstone played with more desire & could have won by more but for some excellent saves by Doran Soloman in goal.

We threatened on a couple of occasions & hit the post in the 2nd half. We also had most of the possesion but never put the ball into the box enough to cause any real trouble for their defenders.

Some of the Youth squad have done exceptionally well in the last few weeks for the Nomads & with Steve Davis getting his chance with the 1st team. What they have to realise though, that it is their performances for the youth team that has given them this chance.

We have a very important OFA Youth quarter final away to Henley Town this Sunday so we have the chance to bounce straight back.
